Support my writing by becoming a patron

Salaam, I'm Faatimah Knight, a lifelong writer whose path took an unexpected turn. What began as a shy child's refuge in words became something deeper when I discovered the ocean of Islamic wisdom at 18. As a member of Zaytuna College's inaugural class, I thought my study of religion would be a brief detour before returning to writing and literature. A decade later, I'm still embracing the waves of that shoreless ocean—and my writing has become the bridge between those sacred depths and our everyday lives. Through The Open Letter, my bi-weekly newsletter, I weave together Quranic narratives, classical commentary, and the questions we all face in contemporary life.

My essays span from divine healing through the stories of Maryam and Ayyub to what Prophet Sulayman's gratitude teaches about perception, from parenting lessons inspired by abundance mindset to why moon-sighting matters in our data-driven age. Whether you're a lifelong Muslim seeking deeper understanding or someone drawn to timeless wisdom, you'll find work that challenges, comforts, and illuminates. Join a growing community of readers who value depth over speed, reflection over reaction. When you become a patron, you're investing in thoughtful Muslim voices and the contemplative writing our community needs.

Your support helps sustain this work spanning poetry, personal essays, and deeper explorations of Islamic wisdom. Choose the monthly level that feels right: $5 for a coffee's worth of contemplation, $10 to fuel deeper research, $20 to help me dedicate more time to writing, or $50 to become a cornerstone supporter. You can also make a one-time gift if you prefer. Every contribution helps me continue diving into Islam's vast waters and sharing what I find.
